Announcements from Microsoft Build

During Microsoft’s BUILD conference, Satya Nadella announced several new capabilities and features coming to the Microsoft Clouds. Some of these include Microsoft Dev Box using Windows 365, GitHub Copilot which uses AI to help write code, Azure for Operators to bring cloud capabilities to telecom companies, the ability to switch between a local Windows 11 PC and a cloud PC using Windows 365 in one click, confidential computing has expanded adding AMD as well as confidential GPUs, the Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform to bring all data products into a unified architectural fabric, a new express design feature in PowerApps allowing a hand-drawn image to be turned into an app, expanded Live Share capabilities in Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Mesh and how Mesh (Microsoft’s Metaverse platform) will come into Teams.   • The new capabilities coming across the Microsoft ecosystem are focused on bringing more AI into tools, creating deeper connections between apps and Teams, and major data investments.
  • Azure is the only cloud platform that offers confidential computing for both Intel and AMD chipsets as well as Nvidia GPUs
