Microsoft Designer Updated with Additional AI

Recent generative AI advancements are powering a new wave of capabilities in Microsoft Designer. Designer is a visual generation tool, leveraging models like DALL-E, to help people quickly create designs, templates, and documents. The latest updates to Microsoft Designer now allow natural language be used to create captions, hashtags, social media content, automatic sizing for the most common social media platforms, and animated backgrounds. Designer is also now integrated into the Edge browser

using the sidebar. This allows work to be done without ever leaving the page or switching between tabs. Additional design tools are also coming soon to help further enhance content creation. Details on these announcements can be found here.

Why This Matters

· Microsoft is bringing content creation tools to everyone with Designer and aiming to create more visually appealing content.

· Microsoft Designer is built on top of the OpenAI capabilities like DALL-E and comes from the early AI work in PowerPoint to help in slide design.
