Microsoft Expands Accessibility Commitment

Bonus Announcement in What’s New From Microsoft in April 2021

Every month Microsoft announces hundreds of new features, capabilities, and services across the Microsoft cloud platforms – Azure, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365. We boil it down to what is most important and share them via our monthly newsletter.  Here is our bonus announcement (#6) for April of 2021.

Microsoft Expands Accessibility Commitment

Microsoft announced a new 5-year commitment to closing the disability divide that exists throughout the world today. This commitment expands on previous efforts like eye tracking, the adaptive Xbox controller, and Seeing AI. This change starts with an “accessible by design” approach for all products to more proactively address issues in documents, better support low-vision readers, expand the immersive reader, and enable PowerPoint Live in Teams to enable more inclusive meetings, and more. In addition, Microsoft will be driving more training, education, tools, and employment to help those with disabilities. Microsoft has launched a new site that shares more about the “accessible by design” plans that can be found here:   Read More +
