Recent Microsoft 365 Updates

Hiding your own video, personal video pinning, new training tools, and more are new to Microsoft 365 last month. First, Teams will now allow individuals to hide their own videos if they don’t want to see themselves on the screen. Second, Viva Learning has been updated allowing training synchronization with new learning management systems like SuccessFactors, Cornerstone OnDemand, and Saba Cloud. Third, Yammer Communities can now auto-renew based on ongoing interactions. In addition, Yammer will now allow members from networks in different parts of the world to collaborate. Fourth, Windows 365 Enterprise now supports Azure AD Join experiences and new localized provisioning experiences. Details on these and other updates to Microsoft 365 can be found here

Why This Matters

  • Viva is one of the most important suites for the next generation of cloud services. Viva Learning gaining major Learning Management System (LMS) integration helps bring more employee experiences into Teams.
  • Windows 365 Enterprise is gaining more capabilities for enterprise organizations that are shifting towards cloud-only environments. While this capability was in the non-Enterprise version, adding Azure AD Join to the Enterprise version indicates the ongoing cloud shift while also simplifying provisioning for complex organizations looking to test the solution.
