Microsoft Entra

Microsoft is growing and integrating its identity management tools into a unified product family called Microsoft Entra. Entra consists of three core pillars of identity tools – Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM), and a decentralized identity platform. Entra is designed to work across any cloud provider and on-premises environments. Two of the first new Entra tools are Microsoft Entra Permissions Management and Microsoft Entra Verified ID. The Permissions Management tool monitors unused and excessive permissions across cloud platforms. Why This Matters

• Microsoft is creating new identity solutions that are cross-cloud and offer services not available from any other major cloud provider.
